The Chamber office is located in downtown Carrollton, Kentucky, where the Chamber staff promotes a growing economy throughout our beautiful county on the Ohio and Kentucky Rivers. Located directly off Interstate 71, Carrollton is 50 miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio and 46 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky. We are also just 14 miles away from Kentucky Speedway in Sparta. This year they will host the Inaugural Quaker State 400 Sprint Cup event, attracting over 100,000 people. The Kentucky Speedway also hosts seven to eight other auto races each year, in addition to a variety of other events and concerts.
Carroll County is home to major industries, such as North American Stainless, Dow Chemical, PMC Organometallix, and CertainTeed. We also boast a diverse and well developed commercial and retail base featuring Walmart, Kroger, VF Outlet, and a host of small business and specialty retail throughout the county and in Carrollton’s Historic Main Street District.
Located at the confluence of the Kentucky and Ohio Rivers, Carroll County offers an unsurpassed quality of life. General Butler State Resort Park is located in the heart of Carroll County. Butler offers 791 acres of park space, a 30 acre lake, boat dock, swimming pool, playgrounds, tennis courts, fishing, camping, 56 lodge rooms, and nature trails. They also have a Convention Center with seating for 800.
Jefferson Community and Technical College opened a new building and campus in 2017. They offer a comprehensive educational and vocational training system.
